Hood was 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Shelby Hancock and Montana Armstrong were each 3-for-4 , and Haley Glasscox was 2-for-5 and drove in two runs, as the Hornets pounded out 21 hits for the game.

Macy Wilks went five innings for the win, allowing five hits and four walks while striking out two. Jamie Gail Hudson worked two innings in relief.

Locust Fork (7-2, 1-0 area) travels to arch-rival Oneonta on Tuesday afternoon.
