Mortimer Jordan swept a baseball doubleheader Friday at Cleveland.
The Blue Devils won the opening game 7-5, and ran away from the Bulldogs in the nightcap by an 11-1 score in five innings.
In the first game, junior Justin Folse went the distance for the victory, giving up three hits, three walks and three earned runs to go with three strikeouts.
Freshman center fielder Walker McCleney led the Devils at the plate, going 3-for-3 plus a walk with an RBI and two runs scored. Wes Crawford was 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored another.
Dakota Johnson took the loss for Cleveland, despite striking out eight Jordan batters. Third baseman Kevin Melvin was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
In the closing game, the Devils (27-5) put up four runs in both the second and fifth innings.
Crawford was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Folse hit a two-run double in his only official at-bat.
Kyle Woods (3-0) gave up three hits and two walks while fanning four Cleveland hitters. Their lone run was unearned.
Jordan hosts Hayden in a Class 5A area game on Tuesday.
