Just about every sports has rings to commemorate the championship team.

For NFL teams, the Super Bowl rings can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars.

However, a local club achieved a state title this spring and their rings won’t cost nearly as much, but they need your help to cover the cost of this lasting memento of a great achievement.

The Mortimer Jordan Lady Blue Devils posted an incredible 50-4 record this year, including ending the season on a 33-game winning streak.

The Lady Blue Devils didn’t need any help to win their state title, but the Morris community and the school’s booster club needs help in seeing that each member of the 2008 state titlists is outfitted with a championship ring.

A bank account has been opened at the Peoples Bank in Morris.

Anyone who would like help outfit the champions, is encouraged to stop by and make a deposit in the MJ Softball State Champs account.
