Terrence Jermaine Holder, 38, of Birmingham, has been charged with two counts of capital murder in the double homicide last week in the Bradford community, according to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
On Friday, the sheriff's office said they were called to the 3500 block of Bethel Road to perform a welfare check on the residents after family members became concerned. Inside the home, deputies found Kristy Lynn Pickett, 26, and Tommy Ervin Shyrie, 58, dead inside the home.
According to police, Holder was a "casual acquaintance of the victims." He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
