FULTONDALE—The Fultondale City Council on Tuesday approved a stormwater management plan created in accordance with Alabama Department of Environmental Management rules.

The plan is available to residents at Fultondale.com or at city hall or the city library.

In other business, the council also:

•approved a resolution authorizing the city to participate in the 2019 Back to School Sales Tax holiday from July 19-July 21.

•approved a resolution approving the fiscal audit for the year ending Sept. 30, 2018, prepared by Cork, Hill and Company.

•heard from Mayor Jim Lowery that the city will host a Korean War Memorial on June 25 at 10 a.m. at the flag devoted to the Korean War on Lowery Parkway.

•heard from council member Tommy Loden that the 40th annual National Sacred Harp Convention will be at the BSDA Friendship Hall, at 1024 Old Walker Chapel Road on June 13, 14 and 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
