The City of Morris’ annual Christmas parade will be held on Dec. 1 at 10 am. This year, there will be a car and craft show. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you would like to participate in the parade, you may contact town hall at 647-0596 or drop by and pick up an application. There is a fee of $15 for entering the parade, car show and booth set up. This money will go towards our “Families Helping Families” campaign. If you would like to make a donation for “Families Helping Families,” you can contact Rachael Turner at town hall. All donations are tax deductible.

• Upcoming Bryan Elementary events include: Dec. 4 and 5, the Santa Shop; and Dec. 11, a PTA meeting at 6 p.m. and the third-grade holiday program. All Christmas parties will be held on Dec. 21.

• Wrestling season is here. Here are some MJ wrestling matches for 2007-2008: Nov. 30 through Dec., Gardendale Tourney Varsity; Dec. 4, JH/V at Minor; Dec. 6, JH/V, Fultondale, Gardendale, Hayden; Dec. 7-8, Varsity Fultondale Tourney; and Dec. 11, JH/V at home vs. Clay, Shelby County. I will have more dates later.

• Belated birthday to Haleigh Ehl on Nov. 18 and Mary Rogers on Nov. 23. We love you, Mary Rogers! Happy birthday to Keith Sartain on Nov. 21.
