  On Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. at Gardendale First Baptist Church, there will be classes on various subjects taught by different teachers from the church. The subjects include “when wallflowers dance,” “marriage,” “Lord, is it warfare? Teach me to stand.” “Can we talk? Soul stirring conversations with God.” On Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. there will be another class on warfare taught by Kay Arthur. For more information call the church.   Sept. 25 The North Jefferson Women's Center will host their annual "Celebrate Life" banquet and silent auction with special guest Kevin Derryberry on Sept. 25. The event will be held at Gardendale First Baptist Church on Main Street with the silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m.and the dinner banquet/concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for dinner/banquet/concert and may be purchased at the North Jefferson Women's Center located at 1601 Mulberry Lane in Gardendale or at the Encouraging Word Bookstore located at the church.
