Olive Community Center to raise funds to send North Jefferson Middle School student Kaylin Smith to Europe this summer as a People to People Student Ambassador. She will meet heads of state and perform work along with other students across the nation.

April 16 Snow Rogers and Gardendale Elementary Schools will host Kindergarten registration on April 16, 5-7 p.m. You must bring your child with you for a short assessment. The following documents must be provided for enrollment: Birth certificate; Social Security card; blue Certificate of Immunization (IMM-50), which should include two measles immunizations and one for chicken pox; two proofs of residence; copy of parent’s driver license; custody papers where applicable. Registration will be permitted without immunization certificate, but certificate must be presented before school begins on Aug. 12. A child’s fifth birthday must be on or before Sept. 1 to enroll in Kindergarten. Child’s sixth birthday must be on or before Sept. 1 to enroll in first grade.
