Senior Center Tours
The Gardendale Senior Center invites Gardendale residents to tour the center during the month of February for “Love Your Senior Neighbor Month.” This is for those who are age 60 and older or those married to someone 60 and older, or family to bring parents who need to get out and socialize or need better nutrition or exercise Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays. Meals are served daily at 11:30 a.m., Bingo on Mondays and Thursdays; live entertainment on Tuesdays; exercise and speakers on senior concerns on Wednesdays; bluegrass on Thursdays; pancake breakfast and also a new introductory Spanish class on Fridays.

The following documents must be provided for enrollment: Birth certificate; Social Security card; blue Certificate of Immunization (IMM-50), which should include two measles immunizations and one for chicken pox; two proofs of residence; copy of parent’s driver license; custody papers where applicable. Registration will be permitted without immunization certificate, but certificate must be presented before school begins on Aug. 12.
