Both the Tabernacle girls and boys teams will compete for state titles next weekend in Oxford.

Both the Lady Torches and the Torches advanced to the Alabama Christian Education Athletic Association final four set for Feb. 22-23.

The Torches will be the No. 1 seed in boy’s tournament.

The Lady Torches improved to 19-5 as they topped Flint Hill, 63-50, Monday.

Tabernacle raced to a 24-4 lead after one quarter and was never challenged. It was 42-12 after two quarters and 55-25 after three.

Senior Meghan Hallice led the way with 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. Junior Candace Coleman had 13 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two steals. Savannah Harper had 12 points, Kari White had eight points and five rebounds, Sarah Walker had seven points and four rebounds, Katie Ogle had two points and Ashley Zassoda had one point and two rebounds.
