Blair Johnson (7-1) allowed two hits and no walks, and struck out nine as the Blue Devils finished off the Wildcats early.

Haylie McCleney had a solo home run, and Danae Hays had three RBIs. Johnson was 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs. Alyssa Linn was also 2-for-3.

Mortimer Jordan 11, Pinson Valley 1 (5 inn.)

Heather Parker had a solo homer, and freshman Madison Singletary drove in three runs as Jordan whipped the Indians on Tuesday.

Johnson had two hits and no walks while fanning eight Pinson batters.

Johnson, Hays and Morgan Estell all hit doubles. Linn had two RBIs.

Mortimer Jordan 14, Homewood 0 (5 inn.)

Heather Parker (5-1) pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks as Jordan silenced the Patriots on Monday.

Johnson was 2-for-3 with five runs driven in, McCleney went 3-for-3 with a triple, Hays was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Linn also knocked in two runs.

Fultondale 25, Vincent 0 (3 inn.)

The Wildcats scored 17 runs before the Yellow Jackets even got to the plate, as they cruised to a win that ended after three innings on the 15-run mercy rule.

Camden Marrs faced the minimum of nine batters, allowing one double; that runner was then thrown out at third on a steal attempt. Marrs struck out six.

Catcher Haley hill had a solo homer. Cadi Oliver was 3-for-3 and also reached on an error and a hit batsman.

Seven Wildcats scored twice in the first inning.
