Prayer room in Warrior provides setting for community to pray daily
Special to The North Jefferson News
The Warrior’s Prayer Room is located at 100 Bivens Street in Warrior and is a ministry of the church that meets at Warrior Assembly of God.
The purpose of the prayer room is to provide a place where believers can come and pray any day or every day of the week.
As Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “My house will be called a house of prayer.”
The prayer room will begin by being open seven days a week and two hours a day.
The goal is to eventually have the prayer room open 24/7.
Currently, the prayer room is open seven days a week, with two-hour prayer sessions at varying times of the day.
The prayer room is open on :
• Tuesdays and Fridays 6-8 a.m.
• Sundays 5-7 p.m.
• Mondays 6-8 p.m.
• Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Thursdays 7-9 p.m.
• Saturdays 7-9 p.m.
The two-hour prayer sessions will include live worship, CDs and a live Web stream from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Mo.
During these prayer sessions, believers are encouraged to seek God in sincere worship and praise (John 4:24); meditation in God’s word (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1); soaking in God’s presence (Psalm 23:1-3; 37:7; 46:10) and intercession (I Timothy 2:1; Revelation 8:1-4).
Also available during each session will be access to the Communion elements (unleavened bread and juice).
In conjunction with the Warrior’s Prayer Room, there will also be a healing room and a prophecy room.
These two rooms are connected to the prayer room both physically and spiritually.
In the healing room, a team of compassionate believers will minister the gifts of healing to those who are in need of spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
This ministry will include personal prayer, sharing the Lord’s table and anointing with oil in the name of the Lord.
In the prophecy room, a team of believers gifted in the prophetic will minister to others through personal prophecy.
These two ministries of healing and prophecy will be coordinated with the two-hour prayer sessions in the prayer room.
These ministries are available to all, but please call the Warrior’s Prayer Room at 647-7911 to set up an appointment.
