NORTH JEFFERSON — Jerry Dennis Bosworth, 74 of Gardendale passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Jerry was retired from American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO). He was director and a member of the Men in Black Band at the Gardendale Senior Center. He was a longtime member of the Gardendale First Baptist Church where he served many years in the youth and choir Activities. He had a love for vintage cars and was a member of several vintage car associations. Jerry’s happiest moments were being involved with his children and grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Marion Ray Bosworth; mother, Rivers Watters, and step-father, Dan Watters; brother, Howard “Buster” Bosworth; sister, Bobbie Franklin.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife of almost 50 years, Jerry Winston Bosworth; a son, Butch Bosworth (Christy); his daughter, Traci Bosworth Hood (John); grandchildren, Kirsten Hood, Janna Hood, Winston and Mary Burgin Bosworth, Copeland and Abby Scott; a sister, Toni Caton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the new sanctuary of Gardendale First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale.
