NORTH JEFFERSON —
Emma Raggett McKenzie, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2013.
She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Carbon Hill High School, Carbon Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Grady and Gertrude Raggett; sisters, Frances Palmer and Mildred Sanders; and brothers, Frank Raggett Jr., and Jimmy Raggett.
She left behind two children, Sandra McKenzie Bennett, and Terry (Margie) McKenzie; six grandchildren, Terri McMurrey, Kelli (Mark) Taylor, Price (Jacie) Bennett, Traci (Johnny) Cooper, Doug (Amanda) McKenzie, Andy (Jeannie) McKenzie; 14 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Maddison and Logan McMurrey, Britni (Jimmy) Curl, Stephani (Nick) Wilks, Jessica and Kamryn Bennett, Paige (Luke) Wilks, Trey Williamson, Matthew, Wesley and Jackson McKenzie, Jonathan and Jennifer Cooper; six great-great-grandchildren, Braylon Curl, Liam Stanford, Riley, Lexi and Jace Cooper, Aunaleigh Tucker; sever nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Mrs. McKenzie will lie in state at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, April 28 from 5 until 7 p.m. Services will be held at Love’s Crossing Church of God, Trafford, on Monday, April 29 at 2 p.m. Mrs. McKenzie will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Pastor Phillip Jones officiating.
