NORTH JEFFERSON — Bertha R. Rhoades, 73, of Gardendale was born January 20, 1939 and passed away January 19, 2013 in Gardendale.

She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and the Faithful Warriors Sunday School Class. She was a 1959 graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School.

She is survived by her daughters, Derlyne Moore of Gardendale and Kathy R. Carlisle (William) of Talladega; sons, Derl Rhoades (Kaye) of Gardendale and Tommy Rhoades (Regina) of Foley; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Everett Richardson of Mt. Olive, Hugh Morris Richardson, George E. Richardson and Warren T. Richardson, Jr. all of Gardendale.

Visitation was Monday, January 21, from 5:30 till 8 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. The funeral service was Tuesday, January 22, at 2 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with burial in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The New Gardendale Funeral Home directing.
