Charles Ray Moss, Sr., 62, went home to be with the Lord June 18, 2012. Charles retired from Sloss Furnace after 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Moss and Helen L. Moss, and by his daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Ayres. He is survived by his wife, Diane Moss; his son, Charles "Bubba" Moss, Jr.; son-in-law, Lance Ayres; three grandchildren, Charlsie Moss, Jordan Ayres, and Hannah Ayres; brothers, Stanley Moss and Larry Moss (Barbara). Visitation was held Wednesday, June 20 at Gardendale Funeral Home with a graveside service at Glennwood Cemetery.
