Boys basketball: West Point 60, Hayden 41

HAYDEN — Hayden cut the West point kead to as few as nine points late in the game, but the Warriors hit a perfect 8-for-8 at the foul line down the stretch to pin down a 60-41 victory in a Tuesday boys basketball game.

Four Warriors scored in double figures, led by Jordan McKenzie's 16 points. Wesley Smith scored 14, Kris Keller 12 and Tristan Dubberly 10 for West Point (11-3).

Chris Witt scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (2-10), Luke Wall had 10 points and Duncan Parker pulled down 15 rebounds.

Hayden is off through Christmas break, returning to action Jan. 4 to face area foe Curry.
