Softball: Hewitt-Trussville 12, Pinson Valley 1

PINSON — Hewitt-Trussville dominated from the opening pitch, as they routed Pinson Valley 12-1 in Thursday softball action.

Taylor Bashears went 3-for-5 for the Huskies with two triples and two RBIs. Madison Dorsett and Tate Moseley also went 3-for-5 each, with Moseley driving iin two runs and Dorsett one.

Jenna Trimm drove in Pinson's only run with a double in the fourth inning.

The Indians struggled in the field, committing eight errors.

Callie Shields went the distance for the Huskies, striking out four while yielding five hits. Amber Howard went all seven innings for the Indians with 15 hots and nine earned runs.

The Indians play again Monday when they travel to McAdory.
