Softball: Corner 4, Gardendale 0 (suspended, rain)

CORNER — The rain got the better of everyone Friday night, but not before Corner scored four runs, largely because of a hard-to-control wet ball, in their game with visiting Gardendale.

Umpires suspended the game with two out in the bottom of the first. Corner leads 4-0, with the bases loaded.

The game is scheduled to resume on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Corner's game with Pinson Valley, which was postponed Thursday because of rain, is scheduled to be made up Monday.
