Girls basketball: Mortimer Jordan 54, Walker 53

KIMBERLY — Sarah Rickles' jump shot with four seconds left was the game-winner, as Mortimer Jordan edged Walker 54-53 in a key area girls basketball game Tuesday.

Down by one, point guard Alysa "Peanut" Amberson was double-teamed, but got off a pass to Rickles for the bucket.

Center Megan Snow achieved a triple-double, with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. Amberson finished with 16 points, and was 8-of-8 at the free throw line. Rickles ended up with 13 points for the Blue Devils (3-6, 2-0 area).
