Girls basketball: Hayden 61, Walker 50

JASPER —  

Freshman guard Grayson Taylor had her biggest night of the new season, scoring 23 points as Hayden defeated Walker 61-50 in a girls basketball area tilt Friday.

Katie Parr recorded her fifth double-double in seven games, scoring 10 points while grabbing 15 rebounds. Lori Swann also scored 10 points for the unbeaten Wildcats (7-0, 1-0 area).

Sidney Cooper led the Vikings (4-5, 0-1) with 19 points, while Madisyn Hood chipped in 16.
