Boys basketball: Locust Fork 47, Oneonta 27

LOCUST FORK — Locust Fork finds itself in a tie for the number-one seed in their area tournament, thanks to a 47-27 thrashing of Oneonta in boys basketball action Tuesday.

A combination of stingy Hornet defense and poor Redskin shooting led to the large margin of victory.

Kyle Hornbuckle led Locust Fork with 19 points, and Dillon Burton added 12. Joel Wester led Oneonta with nine points.

Locust Fork will hold a coin flip with Fairview to determine top seed and home court for the area playoffs. The Hornets travel to Cleveland Thursday night.
