JeffCo Girls Basketball Tournament: Gardendale 57, Pinson Valley 41

IRONDALE — Gardendale's girls move on in the large-schools consolation bracket of the Jefferson County Schools Basketball Tournament, thanks to a 57-41 win over Pinson Valley Wednesday at Shades Valley.

Chelsey Deloney led the Rockets with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Chelsea Robinson tallied 10 points, eight steals and seven rebounds.

Alice Lowery led the Indians with 13 points, and Destini McKinney scored 12.

Gardendale takes on Hueytown on Thursday at 6 p.m., while Pinson plays Mortimer Jordan at 4:30.
