Girls basketball: Mortimer Jordan 42, Ragland 38

ODENVILLE — Kailey Echols scored a double-double for Ragland, but it wasn't enough as the Mortimer Jordan girls edged the Purple Devils 42-38 in a tournament at St. Clair County on Friday night.

Megan Snow scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds, and Natalie Johnsey grabbed 11 boards and scored eight points for the Blue Devils (8-7).

Jordan plays the host Saints on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
