Softball: Locust Fork 10, J.B. Pennington 6

BLOUNTSVILLE — Locust Fork came back from a two-run deficit with a vengeance, scoring seven runs in the top of the fifth inning to bring about a 10-6 victory at J.B. Pennington on Monday.

A two-run double by Jamie Gail Hudson was the big hit of the rally; it was her second hit of the inning, after reaching on a lead-off single and scoring. The Hornets also had RBI hits from Montana Armstrong, Tailor Massey and Haley Glasscox.

Glasscox was 3-for-3, driving in a run and scoring another. Massey was 2-for-4 and also had a run-scoring triple.

Anna Gilchrist was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Pennington.

Macy Wilks worked four innings in the circle for the win, with three earned runs, three walks, three strikeouts and five hits. Alecia Self took the loss for the Panthers, allowing 10 walks against five strikeouts.
