Gardendale USTA Junior Team Tennis wins local title
Gardendale’s 14-and-under intermediate Junior Team Tennis squad won its Birmingham United States Tennis Association league recently. The team includes Austin Yager, Alyssa Yager, Hunter Hargreaves, Victoria Lopez, Jacob Wolford, Lillian Williams and Olivia Williams. This team finished second in the league and third in the state last year as a 12-under team.
The 14-under beginners also finished second in the Birmingham standings, behind James Lewis Park. Team members include Hanna Quick, Isabell Riggs, Logan Carter, Devin Kirk, Malorie McBride, Madalyn McBride, Caleb Battle and Haley Stone.
