ARAB — Mary Paige Hunt led the way with 18 points, as host Arab defeated Mortimer Jordan 59-41 in Monday night girls basketball action.
Three Blue Devils scored nine points each: Megan Snow, who also had nine blocked shots and eight rebounds; Alysa Amberson, who tallied six steals and six assists as well; and Sarah Rickles, whose points came on three 3-point goals.
After the teams played each other to a 13-13 tie at the end of the first period, the Arabian Knights sped away with 21 points in the second quarter and coasted to victory from that point.
