Middle school basketball: Bragg 8th graders 63, McAdory 61

GARDENDALE — Bragg Middle School's eighth-grade boys basketball team closed out their regular season Friday night with a 63-61 win over McAdory, before a packed house at Rockets Gym.

Omari Burton led the Rockets with 13 points. Manning Early and Demetrius King added 10 points each.

Bragg finishes the regular season with 18 wins and three losses.

The Rockets will return to action in the Jefferson County Midle School Tournament Tuesday versus Rudd. The tournament will be held at Erwin Middle School (the former Erwin High campus).
