Boys basketball: Guntersville 64, Locust Fork 59

GUNTERSVILLE — Eighth-ranked Locust Fork surrenered an early lead, as they lost at Guntersville 64-59 in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Dillon Burton led with 23 points, Clay Smith scored 14 and Geoffrey Bramblett added nine for the Hornets (14-7).

Blake Kennedy scored 33 for the Wildcats, who won their fifth straight game.

Locust Fork, losers of two straight, travel to Oneonta on Friday night.
