GARDENDALE — Caleb Thompson scored 33 points, including 21 in the first quarter alone and seven 3-pointers, before going out with a turned ankle in Tabernacle Christian's 73-60 win over Cullman Christian in Tuesday basketball action.
Shover Winchester scored 12 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, Justin Sims had 12 points, and Caleb Lindsey added 10 for the Torches (7-6, 3-0 ACEAA). Thompson also had seven boards.
Logan Knopp led the Lions with 22 points, including five 3-pointers. Parker Allen and Will Hogue added 12 points each.
