Baseball: Crawford, Folse each throw one-hitters as Mortimer Jordan stomps Curry

JASPER — Wes Crawford and Justin Folse each held Curry to just one hit, as Mortimer Jordan dumped Curry by scores of 6-0 and 13-0, the latter in six innings.

Crawford struck out 10 Yellow Jacket batters in the opening game, while Folse fanned 11 in the nightcap.

In the first game, Nathan Stover was 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Walker McCleney was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring every time he got on base.

Tanner Aldridge took the loss for Curry, giving up 11 hits in six innings.

In the late game, Folse helped himself by going 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored. Crawford went 2-for-3 with a double and drove home two runs, and Andrew Warren was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Mortimer Jordan (30-11, 5-0 area) hosts Gardendale on Friday night.
