Volleyball: Gardendale beats Hewitt-Trussville in four sets

GARDENDALE — It hasn't been the best of seasons for Gardendale's volleyball team, with just five wins in 21 matches.

The good news for the Rockets: three of those wins have come against area opponents.

The third of those came Tuesday night, as Gardendale took down Hewitt-Trussville 25-15, 25-19, 13-25, 25-17 at home.

Cassie Snow tallied 13 kills for the Rockets. Katy Belcher had eight kills and 14 digs, and Kecli Tuggle served four aces.

Gardendale (5-16, 3-1 area) hosts Minor on Thursday.
