PINSON — April Duro's two-run triple was the big hit for Pinson Valley, as they defeated Moody 5-3 in Tuesday softball play.
After looking at two strikes from Blue Devil pitcher Haley Fulmer, Duro smacked a two-out line drive to right field that brought home Nicole Fisher and Kirbi Tuck in the fourth inning.
The Indians added a run on the fifth off a solo homer by Hana Presley.
Alexis Moore put Moody ahead in the top of the first with a two-run single to right field. Pinson got one run back in the third when Dallas Payton came home on a double steal.
Lauren Keplinger worked all seven innings for the Tribe, striking out eight while allowing nine hits, one earned run and two walks. Fulmer got the loss for the Devils in four innings' work, striking out four but walking six.
Pinson Valley (4-3) goes to Pell City on Thursday.
