CENTER POINT — “The second part of the season we’ve really worked on pressing somebody and not fouling,” said Argo. “We’re not really looking for a steal, we’re looking for them to turn the ball over.”
After Argo pulled the starters in the fourth, Moody sparked some much needed aggression and worked their way to seven free-throw opportunities in the final eight minutes. The Blue Devils capitalized by scoring 10 points from the stripe, and dropping 23 in the final quarter to cut the deficit to 16.
“If we make some of the mistakes we made tonight [against Center Point], it’s not going to be very good for us,” said Argo of Monday’s championship game.
