HAYDEN — Cleveland hit two 3-point goals to tie the game in the last minute of regulation time, and then scored the first 10 points of the extra period as they defeated Hayden 68-66 in overtime Friday night.
The Wildcats fell behind by as many as 11 points in the first half, then tied the game with a shot at the halftime buzzer by Duncan Parker. The Cats then went up by as many as 10 points in the second half before the Bulldogs stormed back.
Parker finished with 12 points, 19 rebounds, five blocked shots and four assists. Chris Whitt scored 21 points, Luke Wall 13 and Houston Launius 12 for Hayden.
Emmanuel Terry led the Bulldogs with 21 points, Christian Collum added 12 and his brother Micah had 10.
The Wildcats close out the regular season by hosting Hanceville on Monday night and arch-rival Corner on Tuesday.
