Boys basketball: John Carroll Catholic 53, Mortimer Jordan 50

HOMEWOOD — Mortimer Jordan's late comeback attempt fell just short, as they lost a 53-50 decision to John Carroll Catholic in Tuesday-night boys basketball play.

Ben Hardiman led the Blue Devils with 16 points. Point guard Mark Louis added 13 before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

Devin Hill led the Cavaliers with 14 points before he also fouled out. Jack Meineke added 10 for the Cavs.

Jordan takes on Moody on Thurday night, and closes the regular season by hosting Corner on Friday.
