KIMBERLY — It was light-up-the-scoreboard time for two arch-rivals, as Bragg Middle's eighth-grade boys edged North Jefferson 75-69 in Thursday basketball.
Patrick Burkett put up a whopping 40 points for the Blue Devils.
Seth Rodgers led the Rockets (15-2) with 28 points including four 3-pointers. Demetrius King added 18 points.
North Jefferson led 33-22 at halftime, but Bragg went on a second-half tear to score 53 points in just 12 minutes.
