CLEVELAND, Ala. — Katie Parr led a barrage of Hayden hitters with a grand slam, as the sixth-ranked Wildcats obliterated Cleveland 19-3 in Monday softball action.
The Cats put up 12 runs in the first inning, and the rout was on.
Madalyn McMickin smashed a homer and was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Tabetha Ausborn also went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs. Maleah Hargett, Brooke Meadows and Caitlin Kirkland each had two hits.
Sharley Miller was th ewinning pitcher, striking out eight Bulldogs while allowing six hits in five innings.
Tiffany Watson had two hits for Cleveland.
