Softball: St. Clair County 7, Locust Fork 0

ODENVILLE — St. Clair County scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning, as they ran away from Locust Fork 7-0 in a Class 4A softball area game.

Bailey McCay was 2-for-3 for the Hornets, who could only muster three hts total.

Peyton Brasher's two-run double put the Saints on the board with what proved to be the winning runs. Ashlynn Joiner also batted in two runs.

Alycen Johnson worked all seven innings in the circle for the Saints, striking out six.

Locust Fork hosts St. Clair County on Tuesday afternoon.
