Softball: Locust Fork 17, Fairview 6 (6 innings)

FAIRVIEW — Locust Fork teed off on Fairview with seven runs in the fifth inning, as the Hornets cruised to a 17-6 victory in six innings, in an area softball game Saturday.

Five hits, a walk and an Aggies error led to the big rally, which featured a three-run double by Jamie Gail Hudson.

Hudson drove in four runs on a pair of doubles. Tailor Massey was 3-for-5 at the plate with a triple, a double and three RBIs. Haley Glasscox was 3-for-4 and batted in three runs, and Christian Rhodes was 3-for-5 with a triple, double and two RBIs for the Hornets.

Hudson was the starting pitcher, striking out six but conceding five walks plus two hits in 2-1/3 innings. Rhodes worked 3-2/3 innings in relief, giving up one hit while striking out five.
