Softball: Hayden 17, Good Hope 0 (3 innings)

HAYDEN — Hayden dominated from start to finish, as they decimated Good Hope 17-0 in three innings in Thursday softball action.

Clean-up hitter Brooke Meadows' three-run homer in the first was the big blow of the game, as the Wildcats scored eight runs in the first and eight more in the third.

Katie Parr scored three runs, drawing walks in all four plate appearances. Kayla Byrd was 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and Meadows was 2-for-3, as was Kaitlyn Woodard.

Pitcher Sharley Miller struck out seven of the 10 batters she faced, giving up a double and a single in the first inning.

Hayden (2-0) hosts Holly Pond on Monday.
