Boys basketball: Locust Fork 66, Guntersville 49

LOCUST FORK —  

Back-to-back 3-point baskets by Clay Smith, followed by a couple of Geoffrey Bramblett lay-ups broke a tie after three quarters, as Locust Fork pulled away to a 66-49 win over Guntersville in boys basketball action Saturday night.

Four Hornets scored in double figures, with Smith leading with 16 points. Bramblett scored 15, as did Kyle Hornbuckle, and Dillon Burton chipped in 13 points.

Locust Fork improves to 7-2, and is on a five-game winning streak. They host J.B. Pennington on Monday night.
