Another big night for Chelsey Deloney, as she scored 24 points and pulled down 18 rebounds as Gardendale won at Pinson Valley by a 50-43 score in Friday girls basketball action.
Deloney was the target from the perimeter as she got the feeds for short-range shots or putbacks. The Rocket lead was 20 points at the end of three period, but the Indians staged a rally late to cut the final lead to seven points.
Roxie Faulkner also scored eight points for Gardendale (5-1).
Karie McAdoo led the Indians (6-4) with 18 points, and Destini McKinney had 12.
