Boys basketball: Mortimer Jordan 69, Curry 52

KIMBERLY — Ben Hardiman led all scorers with 19 points as Mortimer Jordan won its first area game of the year, a 69-52 victory over Curry in boys basketball action Friday.

After Curry opened up the game with a 3-point goal, Hardiman scored the next eight points. He also opened up the second half with five points. Mark Louis and Connor Moon added 10 points each for the Devils (5-1, 1-0 area).

Spencer Fikes and Jarrod Owens scored 12 points each, and Wesley Key chipped in 11 for the Yellow Jackets (0-4, 0-1).
