— The brackets have been finalized for the AHSAA North Central Regional Softball Tournament, to be held this Friday and Saturday at Liberty Park Softball Complex in Vestavia Hills. Here's when our local teams will play their first two games:
GARDENDALE
First game: 9:30 a.m. against Northridge
Second game at 12:30 p.m., win or lose
MORTIMER JORDAN
First game: 8 a.m. against Wenonah
Second game: If Devils win first game, 12:30 p.m.; if they lose, 11 a.m.
HAYDEN
First game: 9:30 a.m. against John Carroll Catholic
Second game: If Wildcats win first game, 12:30 p.m.; if they lose, 11 a.m.
CORNER
First game: 8 a.m. against Munford
Second game at 11 a.m., win or lose
FULTONDALE
First game: 5 p.m. against Lamar County
Second game: If Wildcats win first game, 8 p.m.; if they lose, 6:30 p.m.
