Softball: Locust Fork 10, St. Clair County 6

ODENVILLE — Locust Fork won a back-and-forth softball battle Monday, prevailing in the end over host St. Clair County buy a 10-6 score.

The Hornets took an early lead on a three-run homer by catcher Anna Hood, only to see the Saints take the lead in the third, thanks in part to a two-run double by Ashley Johnson.

But Locust Fork broke the game open with a five-run rally in the fourth, with three consecutive RBI singles two fielder's choices and another run-scoring hit.

Haley Glasscox was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, Jamie Gail Hudson was 3-for-5 and drove in a run, Tailor Massey was 3-for-5 and Baily McCay was 2-for-4 for the Hornets.

Macy Wilks got the win in the circle, with four strikeouts against four runs and four hits.

Locust Fork (4-5) hosts Moody on Tuesday.
