Boys basketball: Locust Fork 66, J.B. Pennington 36

LOCUST FORK — Dillon Burton had the hot hand, going 8-of-11 from the field to score 16 points, leading Locust Fork to a 66-36 thumping of J.B. Pennington in boys hoops Monday.

The Hornets ran out quickly to a 16-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They shot just under 60 percent from the floor for the night.

Kyle Hornbuckle had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Geoffrey Bramblett added 11 points and  five steals, and Kyle Hornbuckle pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked two Tigers shots.

The Hornets (9-2) host Springville Tuesday night.
