— The North Jefferson Middle School softball team won the Jefferson County Schools Tournament recently. It was the third title in a row for the Blue Devils.
North Jefferson beat Rudd in the championship game 3-1 to finish with a season record of 35-2, the most wins in school history.
Nicole Harris, Natalie Landers, and Reagan Welch were named to the all-tournament team, and pitcher Bailey Murphy (who has since been promoted to the Mortimer Jordan varsity) was named the most valuable player.
