GARDENDALE — Tabernacle Christian found itself in a huge hole after the first quarter, and could never dig itself out as visiting North River Christian scored a 79-34 mercy-rule victory in Tuesday-night boys basketball.
The Chargers ran up a 27-4 lead after eight minutes, and stayed in control from that point.
Caleb Thompson led the Torches (10-9, 5-2 ACEAA) with 16 points.
North River was led by LeDerrick Rice and Josh Harris, who each put in 16 points.
