CLEVELAND, Ala. — Grayson Taylor led all scorers with 19 points, as Hayden dominated Appalachian 63-39 on Tuesday in the girls division of the Blount County Basketball Tournament at Cleveland.
The freshman guard also had seven rebounds and eight assists, and shot 5-of-7 from outside the 3-point arc.
Evin Bibb and Brooke Meadows each scored 10 points, and Katie Parr pulled down nine rebounds for the Wildcats.
Jessica Alexander led the Eagles with 11 points.
The win sets up a big game for Hayden, as they take on Class 4A No. 10 Locust Fork in the semifinal round. That game tips off at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
